Creative and Communications Sr. Associate or Associate
Cultural, Solidarity and Creativity Affairs Division (EXR/CSO)
Background: The Bank seeks a Senior Associate to advance the creative industries as drivers of economic development and to identify the best instruments to shape public policy in this area and generate knowledge products and a systematic bank approach.
The team: The Cultural, Solidarity and Creativity Affairs Division (EXR/CSO) is tasked with managing the areas of culture and creativity; corporate philanthropy in the Washington metropolitan area, along with Special Events and Campaigns to raise awareness on key issues.
What you'll do:
The successful candidate(s) will lead the research work and the preparation of strategic documents in the creative industries sector. The type of documents include research for publications, bank operational documents and articles.
- Design and prepare publications and knowledge products in creative industries topics, including blog posts and articles.
- Gather data and give research input to strengthen the analytical content produced by the Division
- Provide input in the organization of regional forums on creative industries, and maintaining contacts with key specialists, institutions and organizations that work in creative industries.
- Implement the work program of promoting the creative industries in the operational work of the Bank;
- Develop projects through internal and external resources ensuring they release on time, meet all production requirements and establish margin guidelines
- Provide creative content for the Division's communications strategy and activities in order to ensure that the Bank is effectively reaching key stakeholders.
- Advice to CSO Division Chief on new trends in the creative and innovation topics.
- Knowledge in data analytics, data visualizations, audience relationship management
Skills you'll need:
- Academic Degree/Experience: Master's degree in economics, public policy, innovation, creative industries or a related discipline. A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience is required.
- Languages: Excellent command of two official languages of the IDB, in this case English and Spanish. Portuguese and French a plus.
- Areas of Expertise: Proven proficiency in academic research, strong writing and research capabilities, communication, and storytelling.
